PLANT SEEDS
THAT REAP LIFE
DIG
$10
Plant Seeds of Change
10 fruit tree seedlings: Fruits like papayas, bananas, and mangoes are an excellent source of vitamin C, a necessary part of every healthy diet. You can help make sure DIG participants and their families are getting all they need by giving them a sustainable source of it in their own backyards.
10 packs of vegetable seeds: Supply a group of outpatients with a mix of open-pollinating seeds. These seeds grow true to their mother plant each year and produce offspring exactly like their parent, which makes these a more sustainable option for DIG constituents.

Pour Out Your Love
3 durable watering cans: When hoses aren’t available, water has to be delivered to the garden by hand. Purchasing a durable light-weight watering can will allow participants to bring life-sustaining water to a thirsty garden.
$50
DIG in the Dirt
a set of tools: You can’t build a garden without putting your back into it, that’s why having strong sturdy tools are a must for every new gardener. DIG wants to provide our participants with reliable tools that go the distance, and you can help by purchasing quality shovels, rakes, and hoes for our beneficiaries.
$30
Spice Up Someone’s Life
plant an herb garden: Adding herbs to a home-cooked meal doesn’t just make everything taste better, it can also make everyone feel better too. Did you know Basil is one of the 7 healthiest herbs with lots of vitamin C, potassium, calcium, iron, and vitamin K? It has anti-bacterial properties and can combat inflammation too. We all appreciate a fresh sprig of mint in our tea. Why not share that luxury with someone else? Their mouths and bodies will thank you!
1 water harvesting system for a HUG garden: With the purchase of one system, you are helping to capture and conserve precious rain water that will later be utilized in the garden. Often DIG participants have to fetch and carry water a mile or more back to their home. This system helps alleviate the daily burden of searching for water. Systems include guttering, piping, and a storage barrel.

Savor Every Drop
$250
Protecting the Fruits of Your Labor
fencing for a facility garden: What good is a garden if its eaten by wandering livestock or vandalized in the neighborhood? Providing fencing for all our sites is crucial to the gardens’ success and sustainability. Besides, when you build a fence around something, it means you value what’s inside, and that speaks volumes to the surrounding community – sparking interest in the work we’re doing behind the fence.
$100
Give Someone a HUG
1 Home Urban Garden: You can enable a household to attain food and nutrition sustainability in a short amount of time by equipping them with seeds and supplies to build their own mini DIG garden. Participants have an opportunity to use the skills and knowledge they have gained through the facility gardens to start their own HUG gardens. With a small grant and supportive guidance from DIG, they can do a lot with even the smallest space.
$500
Support a Small Craft Business
materials for 1 small business: After DIG participants have shown significant participation in the garden projects, they have the opportunity to expand their group work to involve the creation of a small business endeavor. Past projects have included jam and juice production, food dehydration, FAB greeting cards, and FAB bags. You can help a group significantly improve their income and experience the joy of being empowered by entrepreneurship.
$600
Save it for a Sunny Dry Day
800 gallon water storage tank: When the rains stop, it can be weeks, sometimes months, before the next thirst-quenching downpour comes. These tanks are filled with the harvested water from the roofs of the facilities where DIG is working. They are a welcome savior for a thirsty garden.
$2,000
Plant the Gift of Sustainable Change
in the Life of a Community
build a facility garden: You can help an entire community create the change they wish to see in their lives. Improved nutrition, a more secure food supply, community development, skill building, and a place to grow are just a few things a DIG site provides. You could help us put a new garden in an outpatient center, orphanage, hospital, or community center. Won’t you help us DIG our beneficiaries out of the cycle of poverty and empower a community with healthy food and work?
